My Steps for a Blowout

items When I have time to put in extra effort on my hair or if there's a special occasion, I'll typically style a blowout. Here are the steps that I use to get a voluptuous blowout, and how I keep curls looking fresh for the next 3-4 days.

After I shower and towel dry, I will spray this on wet hair very liberally. This heat protectant has been around for ages, however the product still delivers and does the job well. It also has a quite pleasant scent.

The trick I find to keeping the curls in for several days, is to use some sort of volumizing mousse. This product is what I'm currently using and it is not too heavy on my hair. One pump is enough to use for my whole head before I go in with styling.

As soon as you do a curl, scoop the curl off the roller with a clip and pin it to your head. Clipping will hold the curl shape much longer. I'll usually leave the clips in until I move onto the next layer of my head.
