Unique and Must See
Grand central market is an absolute must see for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They often have live music on the weekends, and pop-up artisan markets in the basement. Tons of local food stalls. I love the Peruvian stall about midway through (great for...
Grand Central Market
After a visit to The Broad, walk 8 minutes to the historic Angel’s Flight tram. It’s cute! Keep your ticket and snap a photo quickly because it’s only about a 1-minute ride down the hill.
Angels Flight Railway
A DTLA classic book store. It’s bigger than it looks with lots of cute displays, and a line of shops inside too.
The Last Bookstore
This is an entire neighborhood that deserves its own List. But if you find yourself in DTLA with extra time, pop into Little Tokyo to explore the shops and incredible ramen restaurants. Take the metro!
Little Tokyo, LA (@golittletokyo)
You will not regret booking a concert at this iconic concert hall. If not a concert, walk around it for some great photos.
Walt Disney Concert Hall
Just a beautiful and unique stroll through DTLA to pickup your florals. Grab a coffee and support local vendors.
The Original Los Angeles Flower Market
Rooftop Views
This is the best rooftop bar/restaurant in DTLA. Book ahead for dinner and dress up. Great for cocktails or full dinner. Perfect for a sunset dinner or pre-dinner happy hour.
Perch
Another cute boutique hotel with good restaurants!
Freehand Downtown LA Hotel - Los Angeles
This is the tallest rooftop on the west coast. They allegedly purchased “sky” real estate from the DTLA library. It’s a little bit of a scene. Expect overpriced cocktails.
Spire 73
71 Above has dizzying views of the city; nice for a nicer dinner spot.
71Above

Zinqué - DTLA
The District is fairly central and has some great little spots to grab food and shop.

Quick Bites
Pop into Bottega Louie for a sweet treat. I think dining here is annoyingly loud but it’s good for a quick coffee and a box of a macarons.
Bottega Louie
This is an INCREDIBLE hidden gem with some of the best Mediterranean I’ve ever had. It’s a tiny sit down that seats about 10 people. Tempted to gate keep this so might delete later.
Dune Downtown
I love the rooftop and the restaurant at Ace. If you’re looking for a good meet up with friends or colleagues, this is a great spot. The rooftop is good for happy hour/drinks. The downstairs is great for coffee/breakfast or a sit down lunch.
UPSTAIRS AT THE ACE HOTEL - Bars
Great spot for a quick and casual meal
Panini Kabob Grill - Downtown LA
Great for a quick bite: authentic and delicious tacos. They never miss!
Tacos Mexico
So good for lunch
Urth Caffe
Best Museums
It’s worth meandering around! Very interactive and right by a top of shops and restaurants.
GRAMMY Museum
Iconic must-see museum is FREE. But definitely book ahead online to make sure you can get in. The paid exhibits are also worth seeing. Book tickets online!
