Nerding out on Grocery Shopping
If this isn't a fun conversation starter, what is?! Alternatively: grocery shopping gets more fun as you get older
(Artisanal) Stores
I have different stores for different purposes, but bougie stores are always the most fun to shop at
going here is an activity in and of itself. they have the best flowers and BEST focaccia. pricey, so not a place for a full grocery shop IMO
must go for fresh pasta, cheeses, and desserts

Apps
I'm not a big grocery shop on an app type of person, but I love browsing sales before I shop in person
I love a good sale so I usually check the app for sales before I shop to help me strategize (perks of amazon prime!!)
What's Always in My Cart
aggresively sweet so a little bit goes a long way- great for people who want to add some ~spice~ to their morning coffee
chickpeas are so versatile (and cheap and easy!!) so we always have some in our cabinet
my favorite cereal and the only one that keeps me full!!
I'm not even vegan but I love this soup (also chicken in canned soup sometimes gives me the ick) also it's often on sale!
Nice and herby. I love adding parm on top at home for a go-to lunch
always on hand for pizza! this is the perfect size for one pizza
My go-to Tabasco flavor lately- so good on eggs!
locally made in Portland, we always are trying new flavors (there are so many!!) I think jalapeno is currently my favorite. perfect consistency!
levels up any pasta or great with peppers. they often go on sale too (I promise they look better cooked!!)
coconut milk is an ingredient in probably half of the recipes I make, so it's always in my cart
hands down the best pickles. crunchy and just the right amount of pickled

Farmers Markets
So many fun ones in Portland! I love getting produce at these spots and making an activity out of it in the summer

probably the most hyped market in Portland, tons of vendors and lots of prepared foods too
a smaller market but great vendors, and it's a fun neighborhood to walk around before/after. super bike friendly!
