Dinner & Date Night
My forever favorite dinner spot in Charleston. Good food, good cocktails and somehow always the perfect atmosphere.
Post House
A lot of Italian has come and gone in Charleston, but Wild Olive has stayed at the top of the list since 2009. Cozy and always delicious.
Wild Olive Cucina Italiana
Casual yet elevated. Exactly what I'd recommend for a new date night spot.
Cane Pazzo
A Charleston home turned upscale restaurant with fire to table cooking. Make it a regular on the rotation for the happy hour burger.
Southbound
Fire to table dining at its finest and the perfect fall date night. Worth the drive out to Johns Island.
Lost Isle
Girls night shareables and an espresso martini on the patio. Don't miss The Den, their cozy hidden hideaway.
Frannie & The Fox
Modern Vietnamese made for sharing. The cure when you're stuck in a food rut, and it never disappoints.
Pink Bellies
Authentic Greek food with a romantic vibe. Try it for your next date night.
Stella's
A one of a kind culinary experience downtown. A three course tasting menu with house wines to match.
The Restaurant at Zero George
Coastal Italian in the heart of downtown. A beautiful new dining experience.
Costa Charleston
A French restaurant on Meeting Street inspired by 1920s Paris. So charming.
The Select Charleston
A cozy little French restaurant tucked downtown. True to its name, it feels like dinner at a friend's place.
Chez Nous
The casual side of Husk. Exposed brick, soft lighting and a great patio.
Husk
A go to for locals and super walkable to King Street.
babas on cannon
Italian downtown and the perfect Friday night plan. Don't miss their wood fired Fridays.
Sorelle Charleston
Seafood & BBQ
Char grilled oysters done right. A local favorite and a must visit in Charleston.
Leon's Oyster Shop
One of the most coveted seats in town and so worth it. They don't take reservations, so get there early.
Chubby Fish Charleston
Skip the crowds for this hole in the wall seafood shack at Folly. Marsh views at sunset, food that won't break the bank and no reservations needed.
LoLo's
Eat like a local and get the freshest seafood in town. Pick your fish right in front of you, then tell them how you want it cooked.
CudaCo
This is the spot. Their guac is my death row meal.
167 Raw Oyster Bar
Whole hog BBQ that put Charleston on the barbecue map. A must when friends are in town.
Rodney Scott's BBQ
Texas style brisket in Charleston. Another must for BBQ lovers.
Lewis Barbecue Charleston
Cocktails & Bars
The perfect place for a girl dinner. The best outdoor space for a cocktail downtown.
Little Palm
My favorite happy hour spot. Great cocktails, truffle fries and rooftop views that never get old.
The Watch Rooftop Kitchen and Spirits
King Street's newest gem at The Nickel Hotel, serving up seriously good cocktails.
Bar Daniel
A quaint, moody little cocktail bar from the team behind Chubby Fish.
Seahorse
Head down the stairs and feel the city fade away. Brick walls, soft lighting and the coziest underground vibe.
Bar Vauté
A little slice of France on King Street. Perfect for a glass of wine.
La Cave
Coffee & Bakeries
Checks all my coffee shop requirements: fun seasonal lattes, great for remote work and easy parking.
Café Roca
If Paris had a Charleston address, it would be Petite Merci. The most charming little cafe.
Petit Merci
A hidden local gem. An authentic French bakery on Church Street.
LE CHAMBERTIN
A new staple in Elliotborough for coffee and a little treat.
Nook Tiny Cafe & Market
The neighborhood coffee shop you need to check out, right on the corner of Line Street.
Sightsee Shop
The sweetest spot to grab a treat with a friend.
Grit Bakery
Start the morning here with an iced coffee before a day out.
Mercantile & Mash
At the top of my list for every Kiawah or Seabrook stay. The coffee is great, but the pastries are what I can't stop talking about.
Cafe Eugenia
Already obsessed with this new gem on Broad. Stop in and grab a coffee.
Broad Street Cafe
A locally owned Johns Island favorite for breakfast and coffee.
KISS Cafe
A charming European inspired corner market and deli. Perfect for a picnic or a quick lunch.
