Hospital Bag: C-Section Recovery Essentials
The things I was so glad I packed for those first few days in the hospital after surgery. These helped me feel more comfortable while recovering and adjusting to life postpartum.
I lived in this robe those first couple days. This robe made all the incision checks, pumping, breastfeeding, and skin-to-skin so much easier!

A good pair of slippers is a must! My feet were so swollen after so I never wore the grippy socks.
Packing a few button-down night gowns made me feel more myself but also allowing for easy access for all incision checks and breastfeeding/pumping

Gap always has the softest pjs as well!

Pain Management & Comfort Items
The first few days after a C-section can be tough, and these were the little things that helped me stay comfortable while my body healed.
The hospital usually gives you an abdominal binder but I also got this one too! I liked them both equally so it’s really what works for you! But definitely having the extra support post c section is a must!
Postpartum Abdominal Support Binder – Frida | The fuss stops here.
I didn’t actually end of needing these, but lots of women do so I packed them just in case for piece of mind!
Gas-X Extra Strength Chewable Tablets, Cherry, 72 Count
They usually give you this at the hospital but I went ahead and got some to have on hand, which I did end of using preventatively!
Colace Stool Softener 100mg, 60 Capsules
I got this but I wouldn’t say it’s a must have, really any ice pack works! But ice is good to have on hand!
Frida Mom C-Section Hot & Cold Therapy Binder
I tried to wean from the stronger pain medication as fast as I could so this was super helpful!
Motrin Dual Action Pain Reliever 120 ct

I wore this home from the hospital and also to our first few outings like their pediatrician appt or to get coffee! So comfy and didn’t bother my incision those first few weeks!
PRETTYGARDEN Women's Two Piece Lounge Set
I also would wear 2XL t-shirts with sweatpants around the house, Etsy has so many cute ones! Of course I snagged this one 💙💙

Around-the-House Recovery Helpers
These are the things that made those first weeks at home easier while I was recovering, resting, and adjusting to postpartum life.
This was SO amazing to keep anything “mom” related in. I had it in our room and would bring it to bed/bathroom as needed! I had all my pumping and postpartum essentials.
Simple Houseware 3-Tier Metal Utility Cart
Initially I slept in our recliner but once I “graduated” to our bed I had to use this to be more comfortable and just for ease of getting in/out of bed due to lack of core strength
Bedluxe 3PCS Orthopedic Wedge Pillow Set
If you have a taller bed, this is also a must to help with getting in/out of bed with no core strength those first few weeks
Handy 9 Inch Black Foldable Step Stool
The best water bottle in my opinion! Staying hydrated helps with recovery 🤍
HydroJug Traveler 40oz Insulated Tumbler
