This microphone is perfect to lift softer vocals above a live band as well as for recording crisp vocals in an audio interface. If you want versatility and more for your money I highly recommend this mic.

This is the cheapest studio microphone I have ever used. It is perfect for powerful vocals and with an added pre-amp it can sufficiently record softer vocals to a quality standard as well.
