At almost 6 months postpartum, here are the items I would add to my baby registry 1000 times over. If you’re a first-time mom or having a baby shower, start here!

I have about a dozen swaddle blankets that I never used beyond the first week because we go one of these and never looked back. Register for 2 or 3 so you have spares for when one needs washing.
Love to Dream SwaddleUp
You can’t avoid the purple monkey song. You simply must accept and appreciate it.
Fisher-Price Glow and Grow Kick & Play Piano Gym
“Chewy chicken” as we call it, is our baby’s favourite teething toy. She’s entertained by it for ages and it’s so easy to wash and sterilize.
Silicone Mitten Teething Toys
We registered for diapers (and ran a diaper raffle at the baby shower) and it was great. We got to try a bunch of different brands (these ones are our favourites, followed by Pampers Amore) and it saved us from buying diapers for the first few weeks.
Royale Diapers
We’ve tried a bunch of wipes brands but always come back to water wipes. And you go through them so quickly, that adding them to a registry feels like a no-brainer.
WaterWipes
It is expensive (but they’re often available second hand!) but totally worth it. We use ours every day and we bring it everywhere. We even bought the carrying bag!
BabyBjorn Bouncer Bliss
Unglamorous but essential. Make sure to get newborn safe saline drops as well!
Frida Baby NoseFrida Nasal Aspirator
I still haven’t been brave enough to use nail clippers on my baby, but this is so easy and gentle
Momcozy Baby Nail File
For the parents
I will keep recommending this carrier because I truly never leave the house without it.
The Monarch Baby Carrier by Mabe
While I am a stan for my Mabē carrier, I used the Boba Warp pretty exclusively for the first 2-3 months. I felt it was easier to get my baby in a good position and she napped like a dream in this thing.
Newborn Boba Classic Baby Wrap
This baby monitor has been wonderful. A nice big screen, no wi-fi, and super easy to use.
Comfyer BM01 7" Split-Screen Baby Monitor with 2 Cameras
I wasn’t sure I would use this because I figured a lunch bag and ice packs would suffice, but this has been great for feeding on the go and pumping on the go!
Momcozy Portable Baby Bottle Cooler
This sound machine is fantastic for the price. Super small and light weight, we never go anywhere without it. Makes on-the-go naps 10x easier.
Mini Portable White Noise Machine
I breastfeed so I almost didn’t register for this but I’m so glad I did. Great for bottles, soothers, toys, and pump parts.
Bottle Sterilizer and Dryer
She’s not the cutest, but she fits everything and stays organized. I have a smaller diaper tote for short trips and walks, but this is our always-packed and ready to go diaper bag. Plus my husband never complains about carrying a black backpack.
