So much fun for kids to be kids but still learn things along the way. Ideal for ages 2-9 but even older kids can get something out of it. We love this place and their field trips are great too!
Please Touch Museum
This stop is not only great for adults but it’s also great for kids! They host wonderful field trips and they do Japanese storytelling which is really interactive and special for the kids. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center
This is one of our favorite places in the city! The museum is really large and has so much to do and see and the staff is wonderful. This is great for people of all ages. Their field trips are great and kids really enjoy seeing the Dino’s!
The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University
The small space packs a lot of cool! Our kids were amazed by the illusions in here and particularly loved the moving bridge! If you have an hour or two to do something fun, this is a great spot!
Museum of Illusions Philadelphia
A great spot to learn about history! There are live actors and lots to do and see. If you’re touring old city, you have to stop here!

Reading Terminal Market
We visited the fabric museum on a field trip and it was surprisingly super cool! Lots to see and we were able to learn how to do our own screen printing! The staff is great too!
The Fabric Workshop and Museum
Franklin square has options! Mini golf, carousel, playground, food, etc. It’s also where the Chinese lantern festival is held each year and if you go during the day, it’s free to walk through!

We loved this restaurant! We have 2 medical kids and after appointments at CHOP we often look for places close by to grab a bite and Gatehouse did not disappoint. They have a huge outdoor patio and the food is delish!

Love art? Need to escape the heat or the cold? The art Museum is a great option. They often have tours geared toward art or kids so check their calendar before planning a trip!

This was a field trip for us and super cool and informative! We learned a lot and had a beautiful day!

Eagles fans, you here?! Even if you’re not an Eagles fan, this tour experience was so cool. We learned about all of the inner workings of the stadium and even got our own entrance music to go on the field!

We absolutely love Philly zoo. I have so many memories here from when I was little and now I get to take my own kids! If you want to beat the field trip crowds, come after 2pm!

Eastern State Penitentiary
We loved learning about history here during a field trip. The staff is amazing and it’s very cool to see this place and realize how old it all is!
