This is a great science museum for anyone with little kids or if you’re looking for more of a half day attraction. It’s smaller than the big museum in Philly but it’s still packed full of cool exhibits and things to see and do!

The Brandywine zoo is great for littles or for a half day experience. It’s a small, compact zoo that’s easy to navigate but still has a lot to see and do!

It may not sound exciting but the DSWA has such a cool program for kids. Their education building has so many cool features, including a recycling sorting conveyor that allows kids to sort themselves!

Marshall steam museum is such a cool spot for family fun or for field trips! They have an awesome education program and we learned so much there. They also have tons of antique cars and other items as well as a ride on steam train!

Do you have an interest or love for space? The planetarium at Mount Cuba is very cool and we learned so much during our visit! The giant telescope is amazing too!

Mt. Cuba is a beautiful botanical garden that offers tours, events and educational opportunities. We did a field trip here and the educators and experience was wonderful!

Winterthur is a great place to visit if you want to see beautiful gardens. There is a tram tour that runs around the property and they even have a kids fairy garden to explore!

Ashland nature center is a beautiful place to go walk the trials but they also offer tons of classes and camps for kids! We’ve done many programs here and have always been impressed.

A beautiful state park with so much to offer. From walking trails to sports field to rental boats, they really have it all!

Blackbird state forest is such a nice place to walk trails and immerse yourself in nature. The trees are magnificent!

Delaware children’s museum is a great museum for younger kids, I’d say under 8. It’s small but really fun with lots to see and do!

Funland is an amazing semi outdoor arcade and rides spot in Rehoboth Beach. The claw machines actually let you win things and many of them are play until you win! This is a great spot for kids and adults alike.

Not exactly Delaware but very close in Glen Mills, PA. This is our favorite kids indoor play place and arcade! Our son had his birthday party there this year and we can’t recommend it enough!
