This is my number one piece of gear. I use it live and in the studio for pretty much everything.
Maschine+: Standalone drum machine & sampler for beatmakers
I have the old MicroKorg but I still use it regularly for both synthesis and midi.
microKORG (2002) - SYNTHESIZER/VOCODER | KORG (USA)
This is a great beginner DJ setup. Even if you're not a beginner but like a simple controller, this and a laptop are all you need.
Pioneer DJ DDJ-400 2-Deck Rekordbox DJ Controller
Hardware
My MacBook Pro recently died so I’m borrowing a Macbook Air (M1) chip and it handles everything nicely.
MacBook Air 13-inch and MacBook Air 15-inch - Apple
This is the table I use for everything. All my gear fits on it.
Expandable DJ Table Portable Audio Mixer Stand - Liquid Stands
This connects the MicroKorg to my MacBook.
mio — iConnectivity
I keep my laptop elevated above everything on the stand using something like this.
Keyboard Stand With Laptop Holder
You must have something like this if you plan to gig out in public. This isn't the exact PA I use, but it's the one I'm currently saving up for.
All Portable PA & Loudspeaker Systems
You gotta have some 30 foot instrument cables so that you have plenty of room to plug in and run cables wherever you need.
30' Guitar / Instrument Cables
Software
Primary software that runs everything.
Ableton: Creative tools for music makers
This runs in Ableton Live, controlling the Maschine+.
Maschine 3 | Beat making and music production software
I use this synth a lot.
Massive – polyphonic software synthesizer - Native Instruments
I use this app for live glitching. The Maschine+ has a bit of a stutter effect but I find this much more powerful.
