We started IVF in 2020 (great timing I know…) and needed to do multiple rounds and from there, have done 3 embryo transfers (1 successfully). I’d say I pretty much have it down to a *science* on what you should 100% have on hand. 🫶🏼
The first thing you buy when entering the IVF world is a heating pad. You’ll want (need) it for after an egg retrieval, to warm up oil based injections, and to relax your muscles before and after injections on your 🍑🫣
Large Heat Pad
Opposite of heat: cold. You’ll need some cool packs. I really preferred having a wrap for hands free. It was nice to put it on and let is rest on my stomach while I was drawing up my injections.

Pineapples have a good luck juju in the IVF community. So grab the pineapple bandaids for when you need one after the injection site needs some TLC.

I had a dedicated notebook for keeping track of my meds, taking notes during all those nurse calls after monitoring appointments and so many more notes you need to jot down.

Being organized is key. There’s going to be a lot of syringes, different needle sizes, saline, powders, patches, wipes, caps. This was my favorite way to stay organized and allowed me to add some good luck charms in the mix.
Storage Cart
Wearing any type of good vibes merch to the clinic always helped me get through those early morning appointments.
Graphic Tee
Getting a "faith purchase" isn't for everyone but I bought a couple of things during our IVF cycles to just hold onto some sort of hope this would work.
IVF Onesie
More ice packs because you can’t have too many. 😅

Storage really is a must for me during IVF. There are so many meds, different size needles, syringes, wipes. Have a designated spot, or spots, to organize makes it a teeeeny tiny bit less overwhelming.
Storage Basket
It is really important to treat yourself to something cozy. There are moments when going through IVF that you just want to lay down (hello hormones on top of pure mental exhaustion). I have a designated blanket, it subconsciously keeps me comforted a...
Plush Throw
Sometimes you need to do injections on the go. I remember needing to do one in my car, in the parking lot of my IVF clinic (timing sometimes isn't on your side). Having a small insulated cooler to keep the refrigerated meds cool on the go is a must.
Compact Triple-Insulated Cooler
Clean and sanitized hands are a non negotiable when prepping and administering your meds. Sometimes you're on the go, so having a travel size hand sanitizer that isn't overpowering is a must.
Hydrating Hand Sanitizer
Once you're ready for a transfer, Pomegranate Juice is a great antioxidant and is suppose to help thicken your uterine lining for an ideal environment for an embryo to implant. It is tart, so I like to make sure I have a lot of ice and even do a spla...
Pomegranate Juice
Staying hydrated is SO important when you're pumping your body full of IVF meds. Having a stainless steel tumbler definitely helped me stay sippin'.
Tumbler
Sometimes after you inject, you bleed. Even just a little bit. Having these on hand is helpful to just hold pressure and dispose of.
