Obviously I need something to write all those unhinged little ideas down with. These are my favourite pens—because yes, I am absolutely the kind of person who has opinions about pens.

Vibes. Candle lit, crystals nearby, playlist on… apparently I require a small ritual before fictional people will speak to me.
Aquarius, Gemini, Libra Gifts for Women - 12oz Wood Wick Candles that Crackle with Crystals and Healing Stones. Healing Crystal Candles for Women Home Scented. Soy Wax, for Zodiac Birthdate
For people like me who light a candle, get completely lost in a chapter and then forget the candle exists. I love the cozy glow and scent without needing an actual flame beside me while I’m distracted writing.

I can’t write when I’m cold. Apparently my creativity has a minimum operating temperature. Give me an oversized cardigan, slippers and coffee and I’m good.

I cannot write with cold feet. This is a non-negotiable. Cozy slippers + laptop + coffee and we can begin.

Koythin Ceramic Coffee Mug, Creative Cute Cup with Sunflower Coaster for Office and Home, Dishwasher and Microwave Safe, 6.5oz/200ml for Tea Latte Milk (Peach Pink)
Cup. Grounds. Press. It’s a real-life ritual of mine that has made its way into my books more than once. There’s something about making coffee this way that tells my brain: okay, we’re writing now.

Sometimes you just need the playlist, wired headphones and everybody else to disappear for a while. This is how I LOCK IN.
Apple EarPods (Lightning Connector) | Wired Ear Buds for iPhone with Built-In Remote to Control Music, Phone Calls, and Volume
The vault where all my book playlists live. Every book gets its own soundtrack, and sometimes I need exactly the right song on repeat 37 times before a scene will cooperate.
Spotify - Web Player: Music for everyone
Writing snacks. Obviously. 🤣 I like having something sweet nearby for those “I have been staring at this paragraph for 45 minutes and deserve a treat” moments.
Smart Sweets
For the days when I desperately need a change of scenery and escape to a coffee shop to write. Big enough for my laptop + all the random things I apparently require to leave the house.

Unfortunately, a girl still needs to move her body even when the characters are being interesting. I like having something I can hop on for a little movement between long writing stretches.
