I love South Beach due to its proximity to Newport and how much there is to do. This campground is nice and flat, and great for kids with many fielded areas for play!
South Beach State Park - Oregon State Parks
My husband grew up coming here as a kid and we try and go at least once a year. This campground is idyllic in my opinion, and we have had so many great memories here. There are two lakes very close by, and the sand dunes which are a huge hit.

Detroit Lake State Recreation Area - Oregon State Parks
This is another close by camp ground that has amazing walking trails, disc golf course, and day use area. The sites are SO big and spacious, flat, and easy to set up on.

Silver Falls is a great campground for kids and tent camping. The state park is nearby with the hikes surrounding the falls, and includes a little cafe and store!
