Daler Rowney is student quality and quite affordable for oil paint. They are THE beginner brand of you want to start into oil painting!

Mediums & Solvents
Medium: a substance added to oil paint to change its consistency, dry time and sheen.
Solvents: used to thin paint and clean brushes.
These should last you a while as you only need to use small amounts at a time!
If you're using a solvent make sure it's odorless! Some solvents can be toxic. This spirit speeds up the drying time while thinning your oil paint.
Gamblin : Gamsol Odourless Mineral Spirit : 125ml
I use linseed oil to make my paint flow better. It also slows down the drying time which makes it easier for me to blend the paint.
Winsor & Newton Refined Linseed Oil
This is used for finer details and creates a smooth surface where brush marks are not desired when used. It also speeds drying time.
Winsor & Newton Liquin Fine Detail Medium
Primer
It's important to prime your surface before you paint! It really impacts the quality of the artwork and I would highly recommend buying one.
This gesso primer creates a satisfying smooth surface for you to paint on. You get a good amount for the price.
Lineco Neutral pH Gesso Primer
Oil Painting Surfaces
Good quality canvases and surfaces for a cheap price.
If you don't have the storage for bulky canvases, canvas boards are a great option.
Crescent Canvas Boards
While these canvases are on the pricey side they're a good investment and are artist quality
Classic Canvas - Cotton Traditional
I LOVE paper pads. I use them when I'm too lazy to set up an easel or when I just want to jot down small paintings or ideas.
Winsor & Newton Oil & Acrylic Pads

Palettes
Some pallet recommendations. If you're buying a pallet DO NOT get one with sections! They're so hard to clean and sometimes they won't have enough sections for you to mix in and overall a bit of a nightmare...
If you're starting to get serious about oil painting, invest in a glass pallet. I promise you will not regret it. They're easy to clean and you can choose what colour base you want to mix your paints on top of, it really helps with colour theory
New Wave Posh Glass Tabletop Palettes
These are cheaper pallets. If you're going to buy a pallet, white is the way to go. These are flat, easy to clean and you can hold them!
