As a curly girl, Iβve tried quite a few products. I consider my curls to be somewhere between the types 2C & 3A. Here are a few products that I really like that have helped make managing my curls just a little bit easier!

Step 1: Shampoo & Condition πΏ
I need a good shampoo to clean out all the product I use & a good conditioner to lock in moisture for bouncy curls.
Β
This duo was hydrating. At times I thought it might be a smidge heavy for my fine hair but still left them fresh and ready to be styled.

Step 2: Gel π
After showering, I squeeze out excess water, comb out my hair with a wide tooth comb & apply my gel. I flip my hair upside down & do the scrunch method.
Β
This gel works so so well! It definitely has lasting hold and frizz control. I can use this product alone and be satisfied with my curls!
I Create Curl Memory
Β
This isnβt a traditional type gel. Itβs more of a serum gel. It has great hold and gives less of a hard cast. It also smells great!
Hydro Style Flexi-Jelly
Β
This is another gel I have tried that gives good hold and leaves my curls soft. I keep this in my travel bag for trips!
Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Frizz Control Gel
Step 3: Mousse π«
After my gel, I apply mousse for extra lift & volume. I focus more on the upper portion of my hair. After my hair is dry, I scrunch out the hard cast & run my fingers through my roots.
Β
This one creates volume while leaving my curls soft. A little goes a long way!
Invincible Volume Mousse for Curly Hair
Step 4: Smooth Frizz & Re-curl ππΌββοΈ
If I need a little frizz extra control throughout the day, I will apply a hair oil or use a re-activator spray to fresh up my curls.
Β
I use this on dry or damp hair to reactivate curls. Sometimes this is later in the day on fresh curls or on next day curls!
Curlsmith Reactivator
Β
I love a good hair oil. This one is great for taking frizz and smoothing flyaways. Itβs lightweight and doesnβt make my hair greasy.
ghostβ’ oil | shine + smooth frizz
Β
This is another hair oil I keep on deck for frizz and flyaways. Itβs super lightweight and adds a little shine!

Extras β¨
Hereβs a few extra things I use to manage my curls that donβt have a specific space in my daily routine.
Β
This stuff is amazing! I like to spray it on damp hair after my evening shower. It has helped keep my hair moisturized to prevent breakage. I have also used it during the day on dry hair to give my hair a little extra help.
Rowe Casa Organics Natural Restorative Hair Spritz
Β
I love their mask. It has definitely helped add life back to my hair. I try to aim for once weekly but that rarely happens now with two littles. π
The Innate Life
Β
The rosemary scalp treatment has helped with my hair growth journey. Again, something I try to do once weekly but ends up being more like every other week since becoming a mom. I have always struggled with shedding and this has helped make a differen...

My first postpartum go around I thought I was going to go bald. The second time I wanted to try to prevent that. I started taking their postpartum formula and noticed a huge difference in the amount of shedding compared to the first time. Highly reco...

I use a comb like this to detangle in the shower & right before applying product on wet hair.
Kitsch Wide Tooth Comb For Curls
Β
While I donβt brush my hair often, when I do this is the brush I use. Itβs gentle on my wet curls and helps get tangles out without the ouch. I also use this on my girls because of how gentle it is.

I use this to re-wet my curls later in the afternoon if they need some attention or to wet my hair in the morning for styling.
Hair Spray Bottle
Β
I highly recommend looking into a water filter. Especially if you live in an area with hard water like myself. This is the one I use and it works great.
Aquabliss High Output Revitalizing Shower Filter
Β
I use a microfiber hair towel when I get out the shower. I will wrap it up to dry it, if Iβm not styling it, then add whatever leave in Iβm using. I also use this to scrunch excess water out of my hair when Iβm styling if needed.
