My top Sonoma and Napa winery recommendations that are an hour or less from San Francisco. As someone who's worked in the wine industry for over 6 years and has tasted at over 200 wineries, these are my top choices for when you're not wanting to go too far. If you don't have a car you can typically take an Uber from SF which is around $80 one way, but split between 4 people isn't bad. You can also take the ferry to Vallejo and then Uber from there, making it much cheaper/ closer.
