brekky + brunch
the perfect spot for your sunday brunch. fresh, farm-to-table bites. it’s pretty lowkey, but 8 times out of 10 you’ll probably have a celebrity spotting.
if you’re there for brunch, get the crispy rice!
All Time
top 3 bagels in all of LA (coming from an ex-NY transplant – which probably doesn't mean much). where else can you get a cacio e pepe bagel?
Belle's Delicatessen & Bar
possibly my favorite bagel spot in all of LA. worth the hype, unlike *another* overhyped bagel shop which will not be named. so good that it's worth the drive to santa monica from the east side.
layla gets +100 aura points from me because you can order half savory bagel, half sweet bagel!
Layla Bagels
one of my go-to breakfast spots. their veggie breakfast burrito is in my top 2 favorite breakfast burritos in all of LA – the eggs are golden and jammy, potatoes are perfectly crisped, and the salsa verde adds the perfect kick. so many incredible pas...
Doubting Thomas LA
it's kind of insane how good WAKE AND LATE's breakfast burrito is. soft scrambled eggs, crispy tots, bacon, and avocado wrapped in a soft flour tortilla – what more could you ask for?
WAKE AND LATE
lunch
wine & cheese shop with a sandwich counter monday through saturday. if you want a great, cheap, and FRESH sandwich, come here.
my go-to is the turkey sandwich, no tomato, extra sundried tomato aioli + a bag of torres 100% virgin olive oil potato...
Larchmont Village Wine, Spirits & Cheese
my go-to when i'm craving mediterranean food. their fried chicken, grilled chicken, and falafel are all fantastic.
Dune
i hold barra santos near and dear to my heart. easily in my top 5 favorite restaurants in LA. such a cute little neighborhood spot with an incredible rotating menu and great wines. my go-to afternoon date spot! go here for a late lunch or early dinne...
Barra Santos
dinner
elevated mexican seafood restaurant, celebrating the cultures and flavors of the california peninsula.
food is fresh, bright & delicious. ambiance is excellent.
the kondo tostada is a must!
Loreto
my favorite pizza spot in all of los angeles. living in LA has converted me from a NY slice advocate to pro detroit-style, and quarter sheets does it best. yes, their hours are limited. yes, there’ll likely be a line. yes, it’s 100% worth it.

Quarter Sheets
if i'm craving noodles, i'm getting woon. easily one of my favorite shanghainese / cantonese spots. atmosphere is warm, casual, cozy & welcoming. the community they bring to the neighborhood is a plus!
musts: beef OR veggie noodles, mama fong's five spice chicken wings, and a bottle of wine to share.
Woon
there's an abundance of great AYCE KBBQ spots in los angeles. wi korean bbq just so happens to be one of my personal favorites for a few reasons:
1. they have a parking lot! in ktown, this makes a world of a difference. 2. service is impeccable for an AYCE KBBQ spot. the servers are quick and attentive, and sometimes they'll even help you cook your meats. i love that they have a little service button at each table so you don't have to struggle to get a server's atte... 3. quality and selection of meats is great 4. pretty reasonable pricing for their AYCE packages
Wi Korean BBQ
if you're looking to splurge a little, mother wolf is your spot. such a sexy date spot. pastas and pizzas are all great, but the star of the show are the prawns. i would literally go to mother wolf just for the prawns, a side of bread to dip into the...
