My ultimate tip is to arrive early, around 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM. It’s the only way to beat the crowds, toss your coin in peace, and capture that iconic, magical shot without hundreds of tourists in the frame.

If you want a cinematic and stylish shot of the Colosseum, skip the crowded main entrance and head up to the stone wall on Via Nicola Salvi. It gives you an incredible, elevated angle of the ancient arena that makes for the perfect travel photo.
