Begin with a Failed Body: Poems (Cave Canem Prize)
This collection is a huge collection from Jackson's past work and a few of his current work. If a pen is strapped GOOD, it's his. The depth of it all, I enjoyed this collection thoroughly. I need to get more into his work!
Razzle Dazzle: New and Selected Poems 2002-2022
I just finished this one today and if you're a beginner to poetry, then this would be the option for you. Digestable, but also loved the overall message of being over the sadness and entering a new stage of life.
The Transfer: The Last Teardrop (Poetically True)
I read this collection a while back and I had a great time with this collection! I'd recommend if you're a beginner in poetry!
Ocean Growing
I think Yesika Salgado is an auto-buy author for me. Her poetry has so much depth, and this might be a favorite so far. I'm excited to get to Hermosa and her new book coming out soon!

I appreciated this collection because of the many contributing poets that got their shine. Anthologies like this are always a joy to read! You find new poets you want to check out in the future!

I Saw You As A Flower: A Poetry Collection
This poetry collection had me in a chokehold for the longest! I still think about every so often! It was breathtaking and different, but cohesive at the same time! Highly recommend this collection!
