I've always been an avid reader, mostly in the fantasy genre. These days I like listening to audiobooks. It's easier to listen in the car or gym than it is to find time to sit down with a book in hand.
#1 in the series. This series is a delightful mix of lighthearted comedy and endearing relationships.
Legends & Lattes (#1 in series) - by Travis Baldree
#2 in the series. TThe second book of the series is actually a prequel to the first. This one has a lot more action.
Bookshops & Bonedust (#2 in series) by Travis Baldree
#3 in the series. The third book is not out yet, but I am eagerly anticipating it after reading the first two.
Brigands & Breadknives (#3 in series) by Travis Baldree
I saw the show before reading the book. Both are fantastic and weird. You really just can't go wrong with Douglas Adams.
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency
#1 in series. By far my favorite surrealism author and series. Lighthearted and funny.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
#2 in Hitchhiker's Guide series. The series is surrealist, intelligent, and funny.
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
#3 in Hitchhiker's Guide series. To be honest, other than the first book I can't remember what happens in each book of this series. I read them all so quickly back to back that it's all one big story.
Life, the Universe and Everything
#4 in Hitchhiker's Guide series. I don't often read books more than once, but this entire series is one that I definitely will.
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
#5 in Hitchhiker's Guide series. Very sad there are no more books in this series after this one.
Mostly Harmless
#6 in Hitchhiker's Guide series. This book was written after the death of the original author, with the approval of his widow.
And Another Thing...
If you want ethically sourced wizardry, this is the author for you. This is #1 in the Discworld series.
The Color of Magic (#1 Discworld series)
The Dresden Files series is fantastic. Though a word of warning, the author occasionally adds in highly unnecessary objectification of women. Also, don't bother to watch the series.
Storm Front (#1 Dresden Files series)
The Life Impossible is great book for women over 40. It's a good reminder that life doesn't end just because you get older.
