Gumbeaux's is in the heart of downtown Douglasville. It is a rustic building inside and out. The vibes though are great! The staff is friendly and the menu is vast. There is something there for anyone who loves cajun food. A fan favorite is the French quarter shrimp. The sauce will have you drinking the bowl. Yes, I said drinking the bowl. 🤣 The po boys are also really good as well. One trip and you will return!

The restaurant is small but the food is mighty good! This is a family favorite spot when we want some good food. The variety here is awesome. I love the fried catfish! It's the right amount of crispy and flaky. The fried whole wings are my boys' favorite. My daughter gets the seafood pasta. Oh! You must try the lamb chops! They are fire! Also, try the fried salmon. Honestly, it doesn't matter what you try….you won't be disappointed.

April's Place is an awesome place to eat when you want some soul food. The y do it all! Plus, they have some twists on some favorites like their egg rolls of the day. The feature all different kinds. My favorite is the seafood egg roll. Delicious! My favorite go to menu item though is the turkey wings! You will not be disappointed with their turkey wings. You'll think you're sitting at granny's table when eating at April's Southern Bistro and Bar.
April's Place
This is a place you'll want to visit first thing in the morning! As soon as you walk in, you are hit with the smell of hot coffee and pastries. There are hot sandwiches for breakfast and the cream cheese is made in house. There are a variety of pastries and desserts to choose from. My go to is the cinnamon roll. It is huge and the cream cheese icing is rich and decadent. The salads and sandwiches for lunch are also really tasty. You can't go wrong at the Bagel Meister.

Our absolute favorite Mexican spot! We hit Jalisco's every other week! From Birria tacos to traditional fajitas, you will find something that you love. Not just like, but love. The cheese dip is soooo good! We get cheese dip every time and it is consistent every single time! I love the beef chimichanga. They smother it in cheese dip and I have cheese dip with every bite they put so much on top. Other places need to do the same lol. 10 out of 10!
