Divergent (Divergent Series #1)
i'm not sure if any of y'all read this in school, but i honestly loved it and it's another dystopian type book! there's also a movie for it.
The Giver (Newbery Medal Winner)
i think you're getting an idea of what kind of books i like, but yet again another dystopian type book! the movies are honestly just as good.
The Maze Runner (Maze Runner Series #1)
this book is so heartwarming and touching that i honestly recommend it to anyone of all ages. a personal favorite that i'd read again anytime!
Wonder
now this series will always be one of my favorites. they're essentially sci-fi renditions of fairytales and they most definitely caught my attention! this could be something that your teenager would love to read.
Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1)
while this book does have a lot of sexual content, it's actually pretty good and i enjoyed reading it. in fact, i binge read it and finished it in a couple days!
