This is definitely a unique place to visit in Huntsville while you're in the city. One of the really cool things it that actually showcase some rockets from the U.S. space program.
U.S. Space & Rocket Center
Located in downtown Huntsville, the neatest thing about Big Spring Park is that they have Cherry Blossom trees, as well as the big red bridge.
Big Spring International Park
Located in Woodville, AL, this is a cave with one of the largest stalagmites in the world. They also offer Cave Tours, as well as gemstone mining.
Cathedral Caverns State Park
Lowe Mills is the U.S.'s largest privately owned arts center. They have over 150 artists studios inside the facility. Lowe Mills is open for anyone to come check out during their public open hours.

Located in Phil Campbell, AL, is known for having tiny glow creatures, known as “Dismalites” around the canyon.
Dismals Canyon
Definitely a unique spot to stop at in Huntsville. People can climb aboard locomotives and the the city's first ladder fire truck. There's also a kids' playroom, complete with costumes to try on, as well as games.
Historic Huntsville Depot Museum
This is such a beautiful place in Huntsville, AL to visit!
Huntsville Botanical Garden
Known as a mountaintop spot near east Huntsville, this is near one of the largest urban nature preserves in the U.S.
Monte Sano State Park
Also known as Ivy Green, this one is located in Tuscumbia, AL (near Florence).
Helen Keller Birthplace
This is located in Scottsboro, AL, and is the only unclaimed baggage store in the U.S.
Unclaimed Baggage Center

Located in Tuscumbia, this is a restaurant underneath a giant rock, along with a watering hole.

This is a restaurant with a Superhero theme! They offer unique dishes for both breakfast and lunch.

This is a 4-acre park located in Cullman. It features 125 miniatures of famous religious structures from around the world.
Ave Maria Grotto
This park is located in the town named for the bridge (Natural Bridge), this is the largest natural bridge east of the Rockies. Underneath the bridge is a bluff similar to a cave that can walk around.
Natural Bridge Park
This is a recording studio formed in 1969 by local musicians, after leaving FAME Studios (which is nearby), to create their own studio. Famous artists such as The Black Keys, Aretha Franklin, and even The Rolling Stones.
Muscle Shoals Sound Studios
Located in Gadsden, you can actually climb behind the falls onto a path that allows you to feel the spray from the waterfall.
Noccalula Falls
I've featured this one in my Restaurants list, but it's also very unique to North Alabama. since it's the only revolving restaurant in the state.
360 Grille
The Rock Zoo, located in Fackler, is one that is also unique, featuring painted rocks that look like animals. Some of those animals include bulls, giraffes, turtles, and more.
Rock Zoo
Located in Warrior, these caverns contain active formations. There are also shell fragments and fossils of marine life along the walls and ceiling of the caverns.
