Really enjoyed this thriller. It kept me on my toes on what was going to happen next but also an easier read. It did leave me with a few questions at the end but over all really enjoyed this book and gave 4 stars!
The Good Lie by A.R. Torre
We read this book for Halloween and it was perfect for the season. Based in a haunted hotel with ghosts, a Michael Myers mask, and a few spicy scenes, haha. I would highly recommend reading the trigger warnings in this book because it is not for ever... I only gave this book 3 stars. Its entertaining and makes you wtf haha but it was also a little much for me and I wasn't sold of the ending. But fun fact - this is a local Grand Rapids author so I did enjoy that!
Slay Less (Final Girls) by Tylor Paige
LOVED this book! I would read the trigger warning because it does involve loss of family members. I am a very emotional person lol so I did cry quite a bit reading this book, but I love the story and and the full circle connection twist at the end. I... I didn't think I was going to enjoy this book but now it has been my favorite so far!
The Air He Breathes (Elements, #1) by Brittainy C. Cherry
This was my first audiobook and I was instantly hooked! Even as a newer reader, I did not see the twists coming. Every chapter kept me wanting more, and I loved how engaging and fast-paced it was. I had a few theories, but the surprises still shocked...
The Housemaid by McFadden, Freida: Books
Such a cozy, feel-good read! This book was witchy, heartfelt, and easy to get lost in. I wasn’t expecting the twist at the end, which made it even more fun. A super cute story that left me smiling and totally satisfied.
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna
A cute and cozy Christmas love story that’s perfect for the holidays. I did wish there was a little more depth on the romance side, but overall it was still a very sweet and festive read. 🎄✨
Bright Lights, Big Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews
I highly recommend the audiobook, especially since it’s read by Jennette herself. I was completely engaged in her life story, and it was eye-opening to hear about the realities of Hollywood and how children were treated behind the scenes. Even withou...
I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
I didn’t enjoy this one as much as The Love Hypothesis. The setup felt repetitive and dragged on, and by the time we got to the end, I wanted more depth in the relationship—not just surface moments. Between the two, I’d definitely recommend The Love ...
Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
Absolutely loved this one! Super cute with a fun twist and just the right amount of spice. An easy, feel-good read that completely lived up to the hype.
The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
Super good! A little slow to start but great story and I really enjoyed all of the characters!
This was a quick and easy read, but not one I personally connected with. Many of the sections felt repetitive, with overlapping topics that made it seem like I was rereading the same ideas. While it may be helpful for some, it just wasn’t a standout ...
Transform Your Self-Talk: Art for Confidence
I really love this book and reference it all the time. Each Enneagram type follows the same easy-to-use format, which makes it great for learning and revisiting. Fair warning though—reading your own type feels like a punch in the gut (in the best way...
The Honest Enneagram: Know Your Type
I read this as a new manager to improve my communication and feedback skills, and I really enjoyed it. The writing style is clear, practical, and easy to follow, making the concepts simple to apply in real work situations. A solid read for anyone loo...
I listened to the audio version, and I love the sound of Mel Robbins' voice. Highly recommend. It's stuff that we heard before or what might seem obvious, but the way she describes and words everything makes me take it in like it'sthe first time hear...
The Let Them Theory: Life-Changing Tool
Books I Want to Read
Received this book in a book exchange and I am excited to dive in!
Icebreaker by Hannah Grace
I am going to Key West in February. Will I be able to read this traveling with a toddler for vacation? haha We will see.
People We Meet on Vacation: Henry, Emily
I wanted to read this one during the holidays but sadly just didn't get to it. Hoping to read next year. It has to be in season of course.
Good Spirits (Ghosted, #1) by B.K. Borison
This book just screams cute and cozy for fall time. I hope it actually is! On my list for this fall.
