I have been a DIY-er all my life, often to the chagrin of others. I have the disease where I see something and I say… I could make that. I think I inherited it from my mom who is a DIY queen. As I think of or find new DIY or craft projects I’ll add...

DIY Coir Doormat

All the things you need to paint your own coir doormat! 🎨 I’m planning to make one for my new apartment!

Naomi Snow profile picture
First, you’re gonna need a doormat! IKEA, Walmart, and Amazon all have plain coir doormats to buy. I recommend this mat from IKEA, it’s durable and affordable!
TRAMPA door mat, natural, 1'4"x2'0"

Once you get your doormat the next thing you’ll need to make your DIY design is outdoor acrylic paint! Outdoor acrylic paint is especially durable and will not fade quickly. I like this option, it will hold up to the outside elements!

Once you get your paints you’ll need some paint brushes! To paint on the door mat you’ll want to make a stippling motion to get the paint in between the fibers. These stencil brushes will work well for this!
Auhoahsil 5 Pcs Natural Bristle Stencil Brushes

Another option for stencil brushes! Other brushes can work but these are more likely to stand up to the rough coir. I recommend these as an affordable option!

All the things you need to make a cute DIY Clay Tic-Tac-Toe board! I made some for my friends a for Christmas and it was so fun!

Naomi Snow profile picture
First, you’ll need the clay! You can use a white or colorful air dry clay for your DIY tic-tac-toe board depending on how you want to make your design! I used white air dry clay and painted the tic-tac-toe board I made. I recommend Crayola brand. The...

If you’d prefer to use colorful clay instead of plain white clay this is a good option! This will have a different texture to the plain air dry clay but will have just as good a result! I like this option!

Of course, oven bake polymer clay comes in lots of colors! This is a fun way to make a vibrant tic-tac-toe board! I made some of the pieces for my boards with this polymer clay!

DIY Frame TV

I loooove the look of the frame TV but do not want to spend that much more for a TV so I guess I’ll have to do it myself! Here are all the things you’ll need to make a frame for your TV so you can have a DIY Frame TV of your own!

Naomi Snow profile picture
The first thing you’ll need for your DIY Frame TV is some decorative wood molding to act as the frame. I’ve seen some more plain moulding (like this one, which you can embellish) and some that are more ornate
Ornamental Wood Moulding

Naomi Snow profile picture
A more ornate frame option! This would work well on its own, without any embellishments (or with, ofc!)
Embossed Bead Trim Ornamental Wood Moulding

Naomi Snow profile picture
The most ornate option I saw for a very stylized look! This would make a great antique looking frame!
Embossed Ivy/Bead Trim Ornamental Wood Moulding

If you’d like to fancy up your frame you can use some do thaw wood apliques!they can make your DIY Frame TV project go from ok to wow!

To attach the corners of the frame, these work great! They are sturdy and durable! You may want to make sure your trim is thick enough for the included screws. If not get some shorter ones and they will work!

Like I said in the note for the corner braces, you might need shorter screws so here they are! If your trim very thin you can probably use a staple gun and skip the braces and screws all together

White is also a solid choice for frame color. I can see this color for a beachy/costal vibe or an ultramodern look! Love!

Ok last, but not least, you need a way of attaching your frame to your TV. The easiest way I have seen this done is to attach elastic bands to the back of the frame that go around each corner of the TV. These will ensure the frame is held snug to the...
