The best hidden gems
Such a well-stocked bookstore. I loved seeing the booksellers’ recommendations and browsing the selection. The Hans Christian Anderson museum upstairs is so cool!
The Book Loft
The Fairy and Frog is a beautifully curated, quirky shop owned and operated by Nancy. She stocks bath salts, tarot cards, worry stones, wind chimes, and more.

You won’t want to miss these museums
This is one of the best museums I’ve ever been to. I learned so much about the Chumash in the interactive exhibits. The museum only opened in spring 2025, so it’s not overwhelmingly busy, but is well worth the visit!
Santa Ynez Chumash Museum and Cultural Center
This museum has a Dambo troll, which is an amazing sight, and cool interactive activities on the third floor.
