A great place to visit with children who are elementary school age. My family enjoyed the train around the zoo. There is also a small movie theather too cool off
Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens
If you are on coastal region of Georgia, this is my favorite beach to visit for quick get away. If you want to take a small weekend giveaway with children you can go here and Jacksonville Zoo

Really enjoyed a 4 day weekend getaway to this theme park, but I would not take a child until there like 8 or 9 and older so they too can enjoy the experience.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Great kid friendly beach. We didn't experience any huge waves. Clearwater traffic is heavy so that it something to think off when planning vacation. We visit the beach and zoo the first day in the area before we went to Busch Garden in Tampa.

Beaches
If you are in the Savannah or Pooler area, this is a nice shopping outlet to visit and it have a few play areas for the kids. There is also so many options of places to eat within outlet as well as neaby the outlet
Tanger Outlets Savannah
If your children enjoy go-karts, this is great place to go if visiting the Savannah/Pooler area. They have a mini golf course as well as arcade. My daughter enjoyed the bumble bee ride.
Pooler Fun Zone
We went due to softball tourament. To entertain the kids we took them the beach afterward they really enjoyed walking the broadwalk
