Portia's books are always funny and romantic!  I find steamy romances can be a little awkward (especially when I'm listening on speaker and my son walks in), but sweet and funny are always good for the heart and soul.

I picked up a copy of Garden Spells many years ago in a bookshop sale, and it lodged itself straight into my heart.  The romance woven into the magic, with relatable characters was perfect. I can't wait for the new book, Paper Ghosts to be released later this year.

GF breads and sweets so often go stale and dry within 12 hours of being baked - but Kat's recipes are brilliant.  I now have a binder of recipes I've tried and loved, that I can flick through whenever I'm feeling the urge to bake.

These are awesome just cut in half and slathered with jam.  I don't even bother injecting the jam into them anymore, because I can fit more on top, and dollop some cream on top of that! Delicious.
