Crafts
My craft of choice when I can stand enough light to do them. I like the kits because it means it's all there and stays together.
Cross Stitch Kits - Hobbycraft
My absolute favourite etsy shop. They make complete and very easy to follow pokemon cross stitch kits, I've done so many of them since I got ill.
ZiggyZaggyCrafts Kits
I love colouring books when I'm able to sit upright for a while. I especially like these simple scene ones, as they don't stress me out the way some mandalas do.
Colouring Book
Journaling and sketching can be a really chill way for me to get my thoughts out, and this business sends out the cutest journaling stickers and guides every month.
Journal Subscription
Prairie fruit arts are one of my favourite artists, and their penpal club is something I look forward to every month. It's mostly very cool art, but there's always a letter and some sort of activity too.
Penpal Club
A book full of various sized cross stitch designs, you can also buy the kit, which includes needles, hoops and all
the thread colours needed.
Cross Stitch Cabinet of Curiosities
Gaming
Murder mystery games are great for doing with my partner while I'm stuck in bed. They do require a little more brain power, but they're very fun.
Cold Case File Games
Probably the game I've put the most hours into this year. It's so cute and cosy and is mabye my favourite game at the moment.
Pokemon Pokopia
One of the biggest but best purchases I've made. It's very easy to bring anywhere with me, but small enough for me to use easily in bed.
Nintendo Switch 2
My most played game last year, incredibly fun and well made, can be as slow or fast paced as you want.
Pokemon Legends Arceus
My other most used device. I have a lot of the pokemon games that I'm working my way through. Very light, so doesn't cramp my arms like my switch can sometimes, and overall nostalgic.
Nintendo DSi
My favourite pokemon game from my favourite generation.
Pokémon Platinum
Books
The number one book I see being recommended to people when they get ill, full of Buddhist practises to help improve your life, even just a little. I found some of this very helpful when I was coming to terms with my new life.
How to Be Sick by Toni Bernhard
My favourite book series of all time. Necromancers and their cavalier bodyguards in a sci-fi setting, written by one of my favourite authors. It can be incredibly funny and incredibly heartbreaking in the same page.
Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
Reading books from my childhood is an easy way to get some comfort, and also a way to read without needing to focus too hard.
