This is what I use to blowout my hair prior to using the flat iron for a silk press. You'll need a heat-resistant glove if you use both hands (like me lol) because this thing gets HOT!

TYMO Pink Volume Hair Dryer

My favorite curler of all time! Easy and effective to use. Still heats up fast after all these years (lol).

Curling Wands - Conair

I use this exact hot comb to press my roots and edges AFTER a silk press, as well as the nape of my neck (gently!). It's also excellent for touch-ups during the week and for wigs.

High Heat Gold Ceramic Press Comb | ANDIS

This is the trick to a smooth and silky silk press. I use this brush for the chase method instead of a rattail comb, and it grabs ALL the hairs and applies the perfect amount of tension.

I only use this conditioner when I prep my hair for a silk press. I typically wash most of it out, but you can leave some in to act as a leave-in conditioner.

Braid Maintenance

Products I use for my braids/twists and can be used for locs!

I also use this for my twist/braid-out and wash-n-go styles. Affordable and gives lots of slip! May flake with certain types of gel, so test it out before doing a whole style.

Aunt Jackie's Quench Leave In Conditioner

Can be used on braids, locs, or curly styles. Beware, the nozzle may not work, so I ended up having to pour mine in a different spray bottle to use it. Will get sticky if you use too much. Set with a blow dryer or air dry!

Loc N Loc & Braid Mousse - Maximum Hold - 7 oz

Great for all protective and natural or straight styles! I would not use this product as a moisturizer. For a silk press, I would use a bit of this after using a dry shampoo to remove the dullness.

Oil Sheen with Humidity Block

I love this on my natural hair styles! If you're oiling your scalp or sweating in the scalp regularly, this can come in handy.

Tea Tree Oil Scalp Detox Dry Shampoo 4.3 oz
