We spent so much time here when my girls were little - so much fun and so many things to do!
Minnesota Children's Museum
The biggest mall ever! Need I say more? You could easily spend a whole day here and not even visit Nickelodean Universe. Between restaurants, kid friendly stores (M&M, Lego, etc) and special events there is more than enough to do!
Mall of America
Rides for both older and younger kids - and the lines aren't as long as Disney!
Nickelodeon Universe
Located in the Mall of America you can make your own crayons, play on the playground, or even watch some of the shows - and head back to your own childhood with the smell of crayons. Yum!
Crayola experience mn
Catch a show at the Children's Theater. In the past they've done shows like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, The Grinch, and School of Rock. A theater and shows designed for kids but entertaining enough for adults.
Children's Theatre Company
The indoor waterpark at The Great Wolf Lodge has lazy rivers (my favorite), waterslides, water playgrounds and other spaces for kids to play. If you're tired of water you can also find things like mini-golf, arcades, and a roped course.
Indoor Water Park & Resort in Minneapolis / Bloomington, MN | Great Wolf Lodge
Learn about space, the natural world, human history, dinosaurs and more. I have fun every time I visit and my kids have had fun with all of the interactive visits as they've grown.
Science Museum of Minnesota
Located inside the Mall of America you and your family can work together to find your way out of 2,500 feet of tricky mirrors.
Amazing Mirror Maze
Another experience located in the Mall of America this is an immersive experience that gives you the opportunity to fly without leaving your seat.
FlyOver America
Located in the Mall of America the biggest aquarium in Minnesota had touch pools, underwater tunnels, virtual reality experiences - all in addition to the other sea creatures
Minnesota's Largest Aquarium | SEA LIFE at Mall of America
Learn about the history of Minneapolis and how it came to be and through hands on experiences and exhibits - all along the Mississippi river.
Mill City Museum | Minnesota Historical Society
Minnesota has a great Arts scene - Stages Theater Company has been a favorite of ours through the years.
Stages Theatre Company
A venue unlike any other. Designed by artist you can play miniature golf, get back to your childhood with the Boardwalk arcade, take in the entertainment - and adults, they have a tap wall!
Cancan wonderland
Outdoor
Get your steps in and the energy out while you visit different animals, ride the carousel, and catch the shows.
Minnesota Zoo
Wander around outside letting the kids burn off some energy and get some fresh air - Oh, and don't forget to check out the famous cherry on the spoon!
Walker Art Center | Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
Minnesota's largest theme park with over 75 rides including thrill rides and family friendly rides as well.
Valley Fair
A waterpark located in Valley Fair but you could spend a whole day and not leave the water. With a wave pool, lazy river, and water slides you'll keep cool during Minnesota very humid summers.
Superior Shores Waterpark
Hands down my favorite thing to do in Minnesota with kids. Visit animals, see the Sparky show, visit ComoTown for rides or wander through the conservatory to see the beautiful flowers and plants.
Como Zoo and Conservatory
Take in a baseball game and watch the Minnesota Twins play while you admire the cityscape at the same time.
Target Field: Home of the Twins | Minnesota Twins
Spend time at CHS Field with Minnesota's St. Paul Saints - it's more than just a game - it's a fun filled experience!
