A collection of classics I think everyone should read at least once. These are the books I’d recommend for their memorable characters, timeless stories and the way they continue to resonate even years after they were written.

My most prized possession is my copy of Wuthering Heights! Read multiple times. Not your typical love story.
Wuthering Heights (Penguin Classics)
Â
Read this in high school and Elizabeth Bennet is one of those characters I never get tired of.
Pride and Prejudice: Austen, Jane:
Â
A classic for a reason. Powerful themes of justice, morality and growing up make this one worth revisiting.
To Kill a Mockingbird: Lee, Harper:
Â
Short, filled with ambition, wealth and complicated relationships. I read this recently and definitely worth reading at least once.
The Great Gatsby: Fitzgerald, F. Scott
Â
Gothic, romantic and wonderfully dramatic. Jane is such a strong, independent character which I love!
Jane Eyre By Charlotte Bronte
Â
A timeless story about sisters, family, growing up and finding your own path. Especially lovely to revisit as an adult.
Little Women: May Alcott, Louisa - Books
Â
Mysterious, atmospheric and a little creepy. If you like psychological suspense, this classic is a must.
Rebecca: du Maurier Dam, Daphne - Books
Â
A short, powerful story about friendship, dreams and the harsh realities of life. Emotional and one you'll probably think about after finishing.
