Simple menu - food and coffee. When I want a little something in the morning, and my brain is not fully capable of making choices off of a HUGE menu of items - Dark Horse fits the bill. Everything tastes good, prices aren't crazy, and this place just...
Dark Horse Coffee & Kitchen
It's pretty new to the area, but it's got some great baked goodies. All of it tastes fresh and so far so good. But the lines are a little long with the grand opening in July 2026.

Nappi's Nook
Perfect neighborhood and family-owned spot to grab a burger, a french onion soup, and a drink. There's even live music certain nights, and outdoor seating when the weather allows.
Flanagan's Pub
There's plenty of Italian Restaurants on Long Island, and tons in Suffolk County. But, this place has a commitment to serving patrons some amazing food. And the staff is also friendly and attentive.
La Villetta II
We love this place for catering parties - the taco bar is one of our favorites. Plenty of food and if you get it delivered to your home, it arrives hot and ready to serve.
Señor Taco Mexican Grill & Bar
Every week that have some fun lunch specials - super fresh food. Pretty sure they use local farms to buy ingredients from. Tastes like they do - and I love that it's owned by a local family.
Karvers Grille
I like bagels that are soft on the inside, but have a “crust” on the outside - if you know what I mean. For me, these bagels are my favorite. They also load up the cream cheese, or salads, when they make you a bagel sandwich. Normally, we get a dozen...
Long Island Bagel Cafe
Family-owned pizza places that not only make great food, but also provide friendly faces behind the counter AND at your front door when you have your food delivered - is really something that has died on Long Island. Saint James Pizza has BROUGHT IT ...
St. James Pizza & Pasta
Portions are huge and the service is always friendly & fast. Our family are fans of all their burgers, and my daughter and I love their chicken soup.
Island Lake Diner
I don't go for the pizza, so I can't speak to how good or not good the pizza is. However, their pasta dishes hit the spot and they give you some decent portions! I've had multiple pasta dishes and not once was I disappointed. Service is also lovely.
O Sole Mio NY
Small, family-owned and operated Chinese Food Restaurant that doesn't disappoint. It's not greasy, and they will make house made noodles if you ask them to. So good. Prices are probably the best in the local area - we've tried many in Nesconset, Smit...

The menu changes each week - which is fun. The food is always good and the service is definitely a win for me!
