I’m mostly into thriller and crime books but I’m very adventurous so this list will be a rec of everything good I’ve read
I love how detailed this story was and how it had me by the edge of my seat till the end. I never remember the details but I remember every single one because of how vivid it was.
Plus it wasn’t gory.
My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite, Paperback
This Book!!!!
This book had me in a chokehold, I couldn’t believe what was going to happen next.
Till the last page, this book had me engaged!
It’s a must-read if you’re into psychological thrillers and ‘self defence’🤭
The Housemaid #1 - Freida McFadden
This book was really good. I thought it had a slow build up but when the drama started to happen, I couldn’t look away from the pages of this book. It’s really great if you’re into thrillers. And the plot twistsss??? Crazy.
Final Girls by Riley Sager
This book has me in my feels.
If you’re into Nigerian literature that tells a raw and real feeling story, read this book.
You might tear up a bit but it’ll be for good cause.
Tomorrow Died Yesterday by Garricks, Chimeka
I lovedddd this book.
I especially love the hold it had on me😂. You cannot know what comes next.
If you’re looking for a physicological thriller(ish) book, this is it.
Don't Let Him In by Lisa Jewell
This book made me feel a lot of things. I finished it and I was both satisfied and unsatisfied at the same time. The story line is emotional, builds up fast and you won’t want to drop it until justice is served.
Just my type of crime/thriller novel!
I Found You by Lisa Jewell, Paperback
Currently reading this book and it’s a slow burn. I pick it up when I’m overwhelmed with work and life in general. It does a good job distracting me but it’s not really a ‘I-can’t-do-any-other-thing-till-I’m-done’ kind of book.
The Hairdresser of Harare by Tendai Huchu
Chimamanda has done it again.
I’m still reading this book but the first part I read about Chiamaka was sooo relatable, I could almost touch the characters.
It’s incredible writing as usual and I’ll hit back to give my full thoughts of the book when...
Dream Count: A Novel (B&N Exclusive Edition)
At first, I didn’t realize that they were all short stories 🫣
I thought they’ll all come together but this book left me wanting more.
Each story was unique and attention grabbing and i honestly wish there was more!
The Thing Around Your Neck by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie ...
Helloooooooo!!!! 🔊🔊
Why did nobody tell me about this book earlier?😅
This book was recommended by my book club but I got so busy and couldn’t finish it before our meeting. However, when I read all the good things people had to say about it in th...
Th1rt3en (Eddie Flynn, #4) by Steve Cavanagh | Goodreads
Ughhh
Freida knows how to write a good story!!!!😭😭
I must confess that when I started, I thought it was a bit flat and was lacking thrill. But I only needed to read 3 chapters to get hooked!
Guys, until the last 50 pages, I bet all your predicti...
