I'm so gutted this series has come to an end - one of my favourites!
Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score
February
A classic book that you need to read once in your ilfe.
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou
This series!!! I need the next book!!!
Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros
Loved this retelling of Shakespeare's family that didn't really mention Shakespeare himself.
Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell
A quick book to get through, but I didn't find it life-changing.
Women Don't Owe You Pretty by Florence Given
I laughed out loud at this so much, will definitely be reading more from Nora Ephron.
I Feel Bad About My Neck by Nora Ephron
Enjoyed this but wasn't one of my favourite books of the year so far.
Young Women by Jessica Moor
March
Harlan Coben is always a safe author to read as you can always expect great twists and turns - just like Miracle Cure!
Miracle Cure by Harlan Coben
Not the best Colleen Hoover book I've read, but a quick one.
Without Merit by Colleen Hoover
This was a TikTok-hyped book but I didn't love it as much as I thought I would.

Icebreaker by Hannah Grace
April
I can't get enough of this series and never want it to end!!
Magnolia Parks: The Long Way Home
Enjoyable and consists of the predictable little bit of woo woo that Ashley Poston always delivers.
The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston
A great but heartbreaking book about grief and someone's relationship with their mother.
Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner
Consider me a big Tessa Bailey fan.
Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey
Another hyped book which was good, but I prefer Freida McFadden's mystery/thriller novels.
The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose
May
I've seen the movies so knew what to expect, but it was everything I wanted it to be.
To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
Another amazing novel from Freida McFadden with twists I never see coming!
Never Lie by Freida McFadden
Colleen Hoover's debut novel! Was so excited to read this, but she definitely has better books.
Slammed by Colleen Hoover
I started this country romance series that I'm hoping to get through this year.
Flawless by Elsie Silver
Emily Henry's latest novel, but I really didn't love it.
Funny Story by Emily Henry
The perfect book of escapism, highly enjoyed!
Caraval by Stephanie Garber
My first Lynn Painter book and it didn't disappoint. Like Groundhog Day, so quite predictable.
The Do-Over by Lynn Painter
Set in Belfast, I really enjoyed how relatable and ‘real’ this novel was.
Close to Home by Michael Magee
A thriller novel by Colleen Hoover, but not as good as Verity.
Too Late by Colleen Hoover
June
One of the biggest book series right now but I couldn't really get into it. I've heard the second book is better so I'll give that a go.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
I'm a big Elle Kennedy fan now - so glad I discovered her writing this year!
The Deal by Elle Kennedy
Based (very obviously) on One Direction. I would HATE to be the daughter in this book.
The Idea of You by Robinne Lee
A Japanese book ahead of my trip to Japan. I was able to discover places to visit during my trip!
Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa
I enjoyed this, but wish there were more locations as the entire book was set inside a hospital ward.
Ward D by Freida McFadden
Really enjoyed this book set in New York about two writers.
Seven Days in June by Tia Williams
July
Didn't love parts of this book, felt like it focused too much on the character's insecurities.
Mile High by Liz Tomforde
Hated this and wouldn't recommend.
I'm A Fan by Sheena Patel
If you're a fan of Douglas Stuart's writing, you should definitely read this.
Slum Boy: A Portrait by Juano Diaz
Very niche, and maybe too niche and enjoyed mostly by people that live in either Dublin or Galway.
This is the Life: Days in the GAA
I found some of the twists a little too obvious. Not as great as The Perfect Marriage.
Home Is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose
So different from the other Curtis Sittenfeld book I read (Rodham) but still so enjoyable. Almost a look into what happens at SNL and how it works.
Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld
August
I'm a big Elle Kennedy fan now, but preferred The Deal that I read earlier this year.
Body Check by Elle Kennedy
I felt transported to Italy for this story - highly enjoyable.

I've been wanting to read this for so long. It was enjoyable, but didn't live up to the hype around it.
Every Summer After by Carley Fortune
A very hard read, but told very well.
Heaven by Mieko Kawakami
An enjoyable book of short stories that all feature a magic librarian.

September
I will read anything that Caleb Azumah Nelson ever writes.

An incredible story of one woman's life and the journey to come out the other side.
Educated by Tara Westover
My favourite Dolly Alderton book by far!
Good Material by Dolly Alderton

A nice YA mystery novel, but I won't rush to keep reading the series.
The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynne Barnes
Not Freida's best work, but kept you guessing throughout.
One by One
I don't know if it was wrong book, wrong time but I really hated this. I was very close to not finishing it, and couldn't get into it at all!
Mexican Gothic
A classic Tessa Bailey novel - heavy on the spice!
Fangirl Down by Tessa Bailey
I loved that this was set in so many places and had a travel theme to it. Almost as good as the first, but just falls short.
A Thousand Broken Pieces by Tillie Cole
A wholesome witchy read, perfect for the Halloween season
The Crescent Moon Tearoom by Stacy Sivinski
December
A great novella that's part of The Maid series - a perfect introduction for the Christmas period
The Mistletoe Mystery by Nita Prose
The final book in the series and I'm so gutted it's over!!!
Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark by Jessa Hastings
After reading This Is Going to Hurt a few years ago, I picked this up for Christmas. With the same laugh-out-loud humour and moments, Adam Kay definitely has a career set out for him in TV writing I think. Hilarious but sad and also heartwarming, all...
Twas The Nightshift Before Christmas by Adam Kay
A holiday rom-com in true Christina Lauren style. A great read to get into the Christmas spirit!
In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren
Very Hallmark-Christmas-movie in its style, but it's also set in Ireland so that made me love it a little bit more.
