Last year (in 2024) I read 80 books, but I'm aiming for a modest 60 books in 2025. I'll be updating this list with every book I read throughout the year. Here's hoping they're good ones!

Below are the 9 books I read in January! Starting off 2025 very strong!
A really great historical fiction novel, but the ending felt very rushed and unrealistic. But it's fiction, so that's allowed I guess!
Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah
Very witty and actually really interesting to read about Paris Hilton's childhood and life story. Highly recommend!
Paris: The Memoir by Paris Hilton
A group of essays by Joan Didion about life in LA in the 80s. I found it very insightful and I love her writing.
The White Album by Joan Didion
A beautiful yet tragic queer love story set in Nigeria. A must read!
Blessings by Chukwuebuka Ibeh
Another short story from the queen of short stories. So beautiful, I just wish I could read more!
Foster by Claire Keegan
A lovely tale of a young woman's relationship with her dying father while also travelling around Europe.
Enchanted Islands by Laura Coffey
Not my favourite Colleen Hoover book, but I'm slowly making my way through the entire collection.
Layla by Colleen Hoover
Not what I expected! Go in with eyes open and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder
The long awaited third instalment of the Fourth Wing series. I didn't want it to end!
Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros

The books I read in February 2025!
I've wanted to get around to this for so long and I highly enjoyed it! I can see this being made into a TV series or movie soon.
Yellowface by R. F. Kuang
A great insight into the life, childhood and thoughts of Elliot Page - I'd highly recommend.
Pageboy by Elliot Page
A little prequel to the famous Good Girl's Guide to Murder series. Enjoyable.
Kill Joy by Holly Jackson
A second chance romance based on Love Island - yes, really! It was a little far-fetched, but I still really enjoyed the characters and chemistry between them.
The Re-Write by Lizzie Damilola Blackburn
I've read many books about The Troubles in Northern Ireland, but this is up there with one of the best.
Trespasses by Louise Kennedy
An enjoyable beach read, friends to lovers trope that's perfect for going on holiday.
Hook, Line and Single by Phoebe MacLeod
I'm finally continuing with the ACOTAR series! Time for book two.
