Arkansas
Part of the beautiful Ozark mountains is in Arkansas! I need to see more of it!
This waterfall is actually fed by two water sources, so they called it “twin”. Make sure to check weather patterns before looking at waterfalls in the ozarks, you never know if you will have water running or not.
Triple Falls
If you go in the summer, bring a swimsuit! The falls are a perfect way to get out of the heat, and in the fall provide a beautiful foliage view!
Kings River Falls Natural Area
A stunning lake in the ozark mountains in arkansas!
Beaver Lake
Looks absolutely STUNNING. Cannot wait for next summer!!
Lost Valley Trail
I mean.. look at it. It looks gorgeous. Another place to cool off in the AR summer.
Devils Canyon Scenic Area Trail and Bushwhack
Missouri
My home state! I need to get back to exploring it!
I have always meant to go to this mill but never have made the time!
Alley Mill
Right in the ozark mountains (aka hills), a beauty of a place to camp and enjoy small water features.
Hawn State Park
One of the best camping spots in southeast missouri, you cannot beat it!
Echo Bluff State Park
I would love to backpack this one!
Bell Mountain Loop Trail
I would love to backpack and take a dip in the creeks at Hercules Glade!
Hercules Glade Backpacking Loop
Near STL, perfect for a quick hick while you're in the area.
Sandstone Canyon Trail
Taum Sauk Mountain is the highest point in the state of MO.
Mina Sauk Falls Trail
Oklahoma
I have never done anything “outdoors” in Oklahoma and I can’t wait to explore!
I never thought something this lush would exist in Oklahoma, but here we are folks. Easy hiking and different options for camping.
Natural Falls State Park
Has so many good trails on AllTrails! And stunning regardless of season.
Beavers Bend State Park
Close to Beavers Bend State Park!
Lakeview Lodge Trail
Furthest west on this list, but still looks worthy of a weekend trip!
