Our family favorite spots to eat around the Capital Region of New York

Great pizza, lazagna and their Friday Chicken Penne Ala Vodka is amazing.
Testo's Restaurant
I have never had a bad meal here, but the sesame avocado rolls and volcano bowl are amazing.
River St. Poké Bar - Poke, Hawaii Poke, Poke Bowl, Poke
Great little local Mexican restaurant, try the loaded nachos and tacos!
I Love Rosa
This is our family celebratory meal restaurant. The chicken parm is a favorite of all of us, but don't sleep on the delmonico steak, specials like the chicken picata, and deserts like their tiramisu.
Delmonico's Italian Steakhouse
Great Indian food and an above average lunch buffet if you can get there when they have it. The Tikka Masala is wonderful and the garlic naan is a great pairing with it.
Shalimar
I am no pit master, but to me, Dinosaur is world-class BBQ. The brisket and smoked wings are my go-to's, but everything from the ribs to the deviled eggs has been on point.
Dinosaur Bar-B-Que
Great Chinese food in a beautiful space. I have always been impressed with the quality of food from Plumb Blossom.
Plum Blossom
Amazing Chinese food and somewhat of a hidden gem. It isn't a very large space, but it is always busy. I highly recommend getting some soup dumplings.
Ala Shanghai
Sometimes you just want a burger. Five Guys can be a little pricey, but it is good food, cooked to order, and is very consistent. You know what to expect out of any burger, at pretty much any location, and that is a good thing.
