It's almost impossible to cut a straight line using just scissors… a paper cutter will make cutting straight lines much much faster and much cleaner.. which will result in a better end product.
Paper Trimmers
There are different kinds of ink daubers, you can find ones that slip over the end of your finger , but these are little to small for my liking and the sponges don't last long. I suggest these-- they are just the right size!
Wooden Ink Daubers
Adding pattern papers to your journal is one way you can make your journal “yours” – its something that says “my name is ___, and this is my style ”

To make the actual Journal you will need a few tools… which can be purchased together in a book binding kit. Usually it includes wax thread, and awl and a few other things.
