One of our favourite things to do is to take the cable car up Grouse Mountain. There are spectacular views back down to Vancouver, plus loads to do like high ropes, bird shows, woodland walks, a wonderful restaurant and even a couple of resident griz...
Grouse Mountain
A wonderful experience - we loved our time here. A spectacular suspension bridge over the river, with woodland walks, adventure courses for the kids and loads of other activities. This is a must do in Vancouver.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
Make sure to explore the wonderful Stanley Park. Our favourite thing to do is rent bikes and cycle the coastal path around the park, but it's also home to an aquarium, a train, playgrounds and loads of other fun activities.
Stanley Park
A brilliant aquarium in Stanley Park and and a great option for a rainy day. Our favourites here were the sealions but the exhibits in general are fantastic.
Vancouver Aquarium
A fun simulator ride that makes you feel like you're gliding over Canada. Similar to the Soarin' ride at Walt Disney World.
Flyover Canada
Vancouver is a great spot to go whale watching - in particular for Orcas which live out in the waters around Vancouver and Vancouver Island. Take a tour from Vancouver or from Vancouver Island itself.

A really cool market out on Granville Island. We spent some time here browsing the stalls and the kids loved it.

View the beautiful suspension bridge crossing the bay - just watch the traffic in rush hour!
Lions Gate Bridge
Spend some time wandering the old, cobbled streets of Gastown, a really atmospheric part of the city. Don't miss the steam clock!

A wonderful park more on the outskirts of the city, but provides great views back to the city.
Queen Elizabeth Park
An alternative to grouse mountain that offers a forest coaster. Also a great spot in the winter for skiing.
Cypress Mountain
A fantastic shopping mall in downtown Vancouver. We spent hours here!
CF Pacific Centre
A superb science museum in the heart of the city. It's also in a fun spot by the water so you can take a water taxi here if you want.
Science World
Ride the tiny little ferries that criss-cross the harbour to get around the city. These are loads of fun.
False Creek Ferries
A brilliant space centre to explore. Another good one for a rainy day.
H.R. MacMillan Space Centre
A cool reminder of the winter Olympics that has been held here previously. Located down by the waterfront at Canada Place.
Olympic Cauldron
One of our favourite statues in the city, of the cities most iconic animal. Located down at Canada Place near the Olympic Cauldron.

A wonderful iconic hotel in the heart of the city. Enjoy afternoon tea here for a bit of luxury.

A fantastic viewpoint high above the city. You can either buy an admission ticket or alternatively book a table at the revolving restaurant at the top.
