📍Anchorage
One of my favorite places in Alaska. Whether you're visiting in the summer or winter, the mountain views are unforgettable. I especially loved taking the tram to the top—it was one of the highlights of my trip.
Alyeska Resort
One of the best places to learn about Alaska's Native cultures and history. I really enjoyed seeing the traditional villages and exhibits it gave me a much deeper appreciation for Alaska beyond its scenery.
Alaska Native Heritage Center
If you only have time for one museum in Anchorage, I'd choose this one. It combines Alaska's history, art, science, and culture in a way that's interesting even if you're not usually a museum person.
Anchorage Museum
One of my favorite ways to experience Anchorage. The trail offers beautiful coastal views, plenty of chances to spot wildlife, and a peaceful way to enjoy Alaska's scenery without leaving the city.
Tony Knowles Coastal Trail
If you enjoy hiking, this is one of the most rewarding trails near Anchorage. The views from the top are incredible, and it's a great way to experience Alaska's natural beauty from above.
Flattop Mountain
A great place to take a break from exploring the city. Whether you're shopping, grabbing a coffee, or just warming up during the colder months, it's an easy stop to add to your Anchorage itinerary.
Anchorage 5th Avenue Mall
One of the most unique experiences in Anchorage. Even if you don't fish, it's fun to watch people catching salmon right in the middle of the city during the season. It's definitely worth stopping by.
Area Sport Fishing Reports Anchorage
One of my favorite places to enjoy the outdoors in Anchorage. Whether you're walking, biking, or just taking in the scenery, it's a peaceful escape with beautiful views and a chance to spot local wildlife.

A unique stop that combines incredible views with an important piece of Alaska's history. It's a peaceful place to walk, learn about the 1964 Great Alaska Earthquake, and take in the scenery overlooking Cook Inlet.
Earthquake Park
One of the most popular restaurants in Anchorage, and for good reason. The pizza is worth the wait, and it's one of those places I always recommend to anyone visiting the city.
Moose's Tooth Pub & Pizzeria
One of my favorite breakfast spots in Anchorage. The food is consistently great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and it's the perfect place to start the day before exploring the city.
