I know that every generation will claim that they had the best toys, but you have to admit that the eighties had some great ones.
Muppet Babies were the best! I had the Fozzy Bear in this McDonald's Happy Toys set. My sister had the Miss Piggy.

Day to Night Barbie was so glamorous with her skirt that flipped from business to party with a snap.

My sister and I collected these Cabbage Patch Kid miniature figurines. I still have a couple that I saved (And I still remember what I named most of them.)

Every year for Christmas, my parents would get me a Gund stuffed animal. They're so soft and squishy. I'm so excited to see that they still make their classic Snuffles bear. Truly an heirloom quality stuffie (I still have mine and passed mine down to...

The Fisher Price Medical Bag set was pretend play at its finest. Mine stayed intact long enough for my kids to play with it, too. (Although I lost the thermometer somewhere along the way.)

I loved playing Mister Mouth, and it was pretty good for hand-eye coordination. I was glad to see that they still make it, albeit as a frog now rather than a weird yellow guy.

Just thinking about this game gives me anxiety. Perfection was nerve-wracking fun!

I can still remember the excitement every kid felt when they spotted a Cabbage Patch Kid shaped box in the gift pile. My CPK was a little bald baby boy named Jonathan Marvin, and to this day, I've never been so excited for a Christmas gift.
These were an absolute choking hazard (probably why they were recalled), but also the perfect little nugget-sized Lifesaver candy.

I know that today's fruit snacks are direct descendants of Fun Fruits, but they're just not the same. It was always a good day when there were Fun Fruits in my lunch.
Does anyone remember Sunkist Fun Fruit snacks? These were the original fruit snacks . I miss them so much !
Bonkers were a little bit like taffy, but a little softer. I haven't found any candy that can match the exact flavor and texture, though.
I Was Obsessed with Bonkers Fruit Candy
I was Team Hubba Bubba in the bubble gum wars of the 1980's. Both Hubba Bubba and Bubble Yum are still around, but there are a lot less flavor options available.
By far the best gum ever
Grape Bottle Caps were the best.

I'd never say “no” to a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut, but when I'd earned that pizza through the Book It reading program? Priceless.

We had a home recipe for an orange julius (spoiler alert: a lot of sugar in it), but it just hit differently from the mall food court with the oranges in the counter.

The Oreo Big Stuf was almost comically huge. I still got excited any time my mom would buy them (which wasn't often…lol).

It didn't really matter what was in my lunch as long as it was in a cool lunchbox. I had this Cabbage Patch Kid one for a year.
