European Classics & Ancient Ruins
Unreal atmosphere! Walking through these ancient ruins makes you feel like you stepped right back into ancient Rome. Don't skip the night tour if you can!
Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine (Rome, Italy)
Literally feels like walking inside a fairytale movie. My favorite thing to do here is grab a warm waffle and just wander along the cobblestone canals.
Historic Center of Bruges (Bruges, Belgium)
The Gothic architecture here is stunning. Make sure to cross Charles Bridge super early in the morning before the crowds arrive to get the best views.
Old Town Prague (Prague, Czech Republic)
Seeing the Parthenon in person is a core memory. Wear super comfy sneakers because the climb up the marble rocks can get a bit slippery!
Acropolis of Athens (Athens, Greece)
Walking along the top of the medieval stone walls gives you the most insane views of the turquoise sea. Absolutely breathtaking.
Dubrovnik Old Town (Dubrovnik, Croatia)
Hidden Abbeys & Majestic Palaces
Looks completely magical when the high tide rolls in and cuts off the island. The narrow winding alleys inside the abbey feel straight out of Harry Potter.
Mont Saint-Michel (Normandy, France)
The Moorish stone carvings and garden fountains here are mind-blowing. Tip: Book your tickets weeks in advance because the daily entry is strictly capped!
Alhambra Palace (Granada, Spain)
Super moody and rich in history. The views of the city skyline from the castle courtyard are hands down the best in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Castle & Royal Mile (Edinburgh, Scotland)
My favorite artistic neighborhood in Paris! Grab a croissant, watch local painters at Place du Tertre, and catch the sunset from Sacré-Cœur.
Saint Michel & Montmartre District (Paris, France)
Wonders of the Ancient World
So peaceful and serene. The Arashiyama bamboo grove early in the morning feels like another world. Remember to try the local matcha soft-serve nearby!
Tenryu-ji (Kyoto, Japan)
Seeing the Treasury peeking through the narrow rock canyon (The Siq) is pure magic. Truly one of the coolest ancient places on earth.
Petra Archaeological Park (Ma'an, Jordan)
The mist rolling over the mountain peaks behind the ruins is unbelievable. Totally worth the early morning wake-up call and trek.
Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (Cusco Region, Peru)
The white marble work is even more gorgeous in real life than in photos. Go right at sunrise when the light hits the dome and turns it soft pink.
Taj Mahal (Agra India)
The sheer scale of this temple complex is insane. Renting a tuk-tuk for the day to explore the hidden jungle temples like Ta Prohm is a must.
Angkor Wat (Siem Reap, Cambodia)
Standing in front of the giant El Castillo pyramid is surreal. The acoustic trick where your clap echoes like a bird call at the base is so fun!
