I’m putting together my must-do list for an upcoming San Diego trip! From iconic landmarks to laid-back beaches and a couple of dream hotels, here are the spots I’m most excited to check out.
I can’t wait to wander Balboa Park — it’s full of gardens, museums, and beautiful Spanish-style buildings. I’ve heard the Botanical Building and Lily Pond are especially pretty, so that’s on my list for sure.

The San Diego Zoo keeps popping up as a must-see, so I’m planning to spend half a day here. People say the early morning is the best time since the animals are more active.

I definitely want to cross the bridge over to Coronado Island. It looks like the cutest spot for a beach day, with little shops, art galleries, and that gorgeous view of downtown San Diego across the bay.

Staying here might be out of my budget, but I still want to stop by. The Hotel del Coronado is so historic and right on the beach — I’m picturing a sunset drink on the veranda.

I came across this new resort just south of the city — it looks huge with pools, dining, and everything in one place. Might be more of a “dream future trip” option, but it’s on my radar.

Since I love history, Old Town is high on my list. It’s where San Diego started, and now it’s full of historic adobe buildings, museums, and lots of good Mexican food.

For the classic SoCal vibe, I’m hoping to spend time at Mission Beach. The boardwalk looks perfect for biking or strolling, and of course I’ll dip my toes in the Pacific Ocean.
