items Looking for Parks around the Kent/Covington area? I have a few good recommendations that are kid, dog, family friendly.

Lake/beach access, large, big play ground, fishing & swimming. My family and I got here a lot during the summer for the swimming. They also have covered seating/tables to host birthday parties
Lake Meridian Park
Great park with a trail to walk around. There are bathrooms on site & a great playground for kids.
Covington Community Park & Soccer Field
Maple valley farmers market with great fresh fruits & veggies, homemade breads, food trucks, live bands

This park is also a family favorite. My boys love it because it is a space themed playground inspired by NASA’s Apollo mission.
Kherson Park
Canterbury Park is ideal if you like active play and family cookouts. There are pickleball, volleyball and a fun playground for younger kids. Our family loves this park!

This is a more relaxing park know for their community garden and open field. There is a playground and in the more downtown area.
Commons Neighborhood Park | City of Kent
This is one of three skate parks in Kent, WA. It is open dawn to dusk and is across from west Fenwick Park. This park has public art, ramps, and open space for all skill levels.
West Hill Skate Park | City of Kent
This is the bigger skate park in Kent, WA. It’s 17,000 sq feet so lots of room for bigger groups. There is also a climbing wall and other activities for younger kids who can’t skate just yet.
Arbor Heights 360 Park
Love going here with the family but remember to pack your boots! It gets super muddy but so worth it! The pumpkin patch in huge and they also sell produce. There is a pet farm, cider, photo structures and other food trucks/goodies!

Go-Kart Racing for kids ages 15+ (they can ride younger with race school). This is a great place to go with the family if your have teens (or grandparent to watch the kids while the parent race).
PGP Motorsports Park
This is a great place for family photos or just talking the kids to run in the field and dogs on a walk. There are a lot of nature trails, wildlife viewing and areas for the kids to just explore.
Clark Lake Park | City of Kent
This is a long 6 mile trail that goes through the woods and wetlands. This is a great place for biking, walking or going for a run.
