Some fun and interesting activities to do out here (besides go to the beach of course!)
Just absolutely gorgeous, a wonderful way to spend the day. Much closer to me than the Huntington gardens, it's a bit smaller but that makes it very manageable to check out in a day.
South Coast Botanic Garden
Awesome spot for whale watching off the coast or just setting up for a picnic. I think every year for a week or so they bring in a bunch of goats to keep the grass in check, and it's very cute. Sunsets here are unmatched.
Point Vicente Lighthouse
Not enough people know about this place in my opinion. You get to see the seals that are being rehabilitated from our local oceans, and it's a really cute way to turn a bad day around.
Marine Mammal Care Center
All of palos verdes could be on this list quite frankly. The key is to just drive around along the coast and park, there are so many areas where the paths go right along the cliffside and you can see the ocean below
Hiking near Malaga Cove - Palos Verdes Estates
Come here for a picnic after the marine mammal center, they're right down the street from each other. You get incredible views at a unique landmark.

There are so many wonderful restaurants and dining options in the South Bay it's almost impossible to name them all. Here are some of my top picks!
The most gorgeous ocean views. During whale watching season you can sometimes see them not too far off the coast.
Nelson's
I just went here for the first time with my mother for her birthday, we ate steak frites with an ocean view.. I mean it doesn't get much better than that.
The Strand House
Probably my favorite place to go and get work done, the indoor seating is definitely geared for it and honestly it stays fairly quiet in there besides the music because most people are there reading or working.
Coffee Cartel
Another place that can fill up and stay full but incredible to stay and get some work done if you get a seat.
The Boy & The Bear, Coffee Roasters based in in Los Angeles ...
If this diner ever closes that's a sign of the apocalypse. It's been here much longer than I've been alive and I still see lines out the door every weekend.
Ocean Diner
Get outside seating and try the spanish latte, you won't be disappointed!

I have mostly vintage shopping on this list because I think these places are harder to come by and are worth checking out at least once.

The Point
I’ve been going here since I was in middle school and it’s an essential place to check out for anyone who’s into vintage or antique stuff. It’s like a labyrinth in there, they’ve got everything.
