Chat + writing + research tools I use daily
Think of Grammarly as that friend who reads your message before you hit send. It sits on your laptop, nudges you when something sounds off, and helps you say what you mean without sounding messy.
Grammarly - Free AI Writing Assistant
I use ChatGPT as a personal assistant. It helps me write, research, brainstorm and with the plus plan, can connect to and automate my other tools.
ChatGPT-Open AI
Claude is what I use as an alternative when ChatGpt is hallucinating, its also better at coding. It’s a bit cheaper too; Claude Pro is £18/month while ChatGPT Plus is £20/month.
Claude (Anthropic)
Notion is a powerhouse for organising almost anything; business plans, AI scripts and content calendars, you pick.
Notion AI - The AI workspace that works for you
Perplexity is the research tool I trust when I need to be sure. Instead of giving you a confident sounding answer, it shows you where it got it from, with sources you can click. It saves you from rabbit holes and makes it way faster to go from “I hea...

Automation
Tools that connect apps, move data, run workflows

N8N - AI Workflow Automation
Zapier’s my “just make it work” tool. It’s easier than n8n, and for simple stuff it can be cheaper too, so it’s perfect for quick automations like moving leads, sending alerts, and syncing apps.
Zapier - AI Workflow automation
It’s like building automations with Lego: you can see everything, branch things out, add logic and make the workflow do exactly what you want without writing code.

Tools that create/edit visuals, video, audio (mouth/eyes)
Higgsfield is the closest thing to having a mini studio on your laptop. It’s the tool I reach for when I want visuals without paying tons of money.
Higgsfield AI -Video and Image Generator
OpusClip is what I use when I’ve got one long video and I need it turned into multiple TikToks/Reels without sitting there editing for hours.
Opus Clip - AI video clipping tool to create viral shorts
I use Grok Imagine when I need free visuals. It’s so good for quick iterations on ads and “make this look cinematic” experiments.
Grok Imagine - AI assistant
HeyGen is what I use when I need a clean “talking head” video but I do not want to film. I paste my script, pick an avatar and voice, and it turns it into a polished video in minutes.
HeyGen - AI Video Generator
Runway has a built in editor, so I can do quick trims, layer clips, and clean things up without leaving the app. And when I get stuck, it has an in app AI assistant I can message for help, so I’m not wasting time digging through docs.
