Hi there! Priscilla here, 'Ambassador of Awesome!' While the Big Blend team is busy with microphones and magazines, I’m out here scouting the good stuff! I just went on a Pacific Northwest adventure with one of my favorite travel writers—the 'Fire Mo...
I’ve put together this list of my absolute favorite 'Quality' finds from her journey. We’re talking artisan cookies, lighthouse views, and red-brick charm. Read Debbie’s full story (with her amazing photos and podcast!) on Susbtack: vacationstationtravel.substack.com/p/bellingham-washington
Ooh, keep your eyes on the window! This is the prettiest road ever. If you’re lucky like me, you’ll see the San Juan Islands sparkling in the bay!
Chuckanut Drive Scenic Byway, Oysters & Fairhaven
Stop the car! The smells coming out of this window are heavenly. I highly recommend the Chocolate Ginger Spice cookies—they are just the right size for a hungry monkey!
Breadfarm
They have a lighthouse made entirely of oyster shells! Can you believe it? Plus, you can have a picnic right at the water’s edge.
Taylor Shellfish Farms
The oldest state park in Washington! I loved the big evergreen trees. It’s the perfect place to sit on a rock and think about my next snack.
Larrabee State Park
This is my kind of place. It’s cozy, has a fireplace, and they even have a 'Hospitality Hour' with wine. (I stick to the local pastries, though!)
Fairhaven Village Inn
Three floors of books! I almost got lost in the stacks, but I found my way to the top floor for some chocolate at Evolve Café. Success!
Village Books and Paper Dreams
The boardwalk goes right over the water! It’s a great place to stretch your legs and watch the sunset. Don't forget your camera!
Taylor Dock Boardwalk
I felt very small next to these giant sculptures! My favorite is the big red one called 'For Handel.' It’s like a giant playground for art lovers.
Sculpture Collection
Debbie says this halibut is the best ever, and she’s a pro! Sit on the deck and watch the big Alaska ferries come and go.
Port Fairhaven Fish N Chips
So fancy! Every seat has a view of the islands. It’s like eating inside a beautiful painting.
