CRAFT: Beaded Potted Plant Magnet
A PERFECT GIFT FROM YOUR CHILD TO PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, & TEACHERS 🌿 (Assisted Ages 5+)
How to:
1. Cut the wire into an 8 inch section
2. Put a leaf bead in the center and twist tightly 2 times
3. Alternate between add 2 seed beads on both wire pieces and a leaf on a single wire (alternating left and right) until you have 3-5 leaves total.
4. Finish off by adding 6-9 seed beads after the final leaf. Pull it tight and loop one side of the wire through the top seed beed to tie it off. Twist the remaining wire together and cut leaving about 1/2 an inch
5. Repeat these steps until you have 8 branches (I recommend no more than 2 3-leaf branches)
6. Cut a circle out of cardboard which fits slightly below the top of the pot without any gaps, and poke a hole in the middle. Hot gluearound the edges of the cardboard and push it into the pot
7. Line up the bottom beads of your branches and twist them together. Hot glue the hole of the cardboard and around the exposed wire and set into cardboard hole with branches straight upwards. Hold until dry.
8. Add hot glue to the top of the exposed cardboard (I like to do this in 2 intervals) and dump brown seed beads on top. Press down until no cardboard is exposed. Dump unstuck beads back into your bowl/bag.
9. Once dry, arrange your branches as desired and super glue the magnet on the back
