I love coming here to walk the trails around the museum and relax in the fields with a book/journal on a sunny day. The museum itself is pretty great too!
North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh
House of Art is a trippy bar/lounge where each room is decorated a different theme. I especially love it around Christmastime! It's worth checking out to get a drink with a friend at least once for the gram pics.
House of Art - Raleigh
Pretty park to grab a coffee and walk around with a friend in!
Downtown Cary Park
Things to Do
It's like upscale mini golfing except you can lounge in one place with your friends with drinks and actually practice your swings.
Drive Shack in Raleigh
Every Wednesday night on Glenwood South, Cuya hosts a salsa dancing class and then the bar turns into a whole salsa dancing club afterwards. It’s so much fun and open to all skill levels. I’m terrible at dancing, but this has been a great way to slow...
Cuya Cocktail Bar - Salsa Dancing Classes in Raleigh
Vegetarian-Friendly Restaurants
It’s vegetarian-friendly and has some amazing appetizers!
Vidrio in Raleigh
Hands down an amazing option for gourmet vegetarian/vegan food. I was so excited to have “oysters” and “seafood” - seafood substitutions are so hard to find and their entrees hit the spot wonderfully. Can't wait to take my mom there next time!
Marian Cocktails and Kitchen in Raleigh
Don't know what to eat or are hanging with a bunch of people with wildly different tastes? Go to Morgan where there's a bunch of different vendors of every cuisine imagined. I especially love the sushi burritos! AND there's axe-throwing too.
Morgan Street Food Hall in Raleigh
The brussels sprouts here are to DIE for. The drinks are funky and the vibe is fun. I'm always down to go here for the sprouts and little duckie in a bathtub cocktail!
